Aled Summerhill started his rugby career with Porth RFC at the age of six, then moved to Pontypridd RFC Mini and Junior sections until the age of nine, before joining his Rhondda Schools U11 teammates at Treorchy RFC.
An academy graduate, the wing made his debut for Cardiff in the 2014 Anglo Welsh Cup clash against Scarlets, and made his bow in the league later in the same campaign, against Zebre.
An impressive campaign was to following in 2015/16, as Summerhill crossed for six tries in 10 starts, including a score against Ospreys at Judgement Day.
Summerhill also scored a brace of tries on his first start in the Heineken Champions Cup against Glasgow Warriors in 2018.
