Director of coaching David Young could barely disguise his frustrations after seeing the Blues slip to a 16-21 defeat in the opening Heineken Cup tie against Ulster in Belfast.
He said, "There are times when you have to hold up your hand and say you are beaten by a better side. This was not one of them. We should have come away with a victory. We put ourselves in a position to do so twice in the second half but again allowed ourselves to be overhauled in the closing stages. It was very disappointing for everyone involved in the team. But as I said in the changing room after the game, we must look forward not back. On Sunday we will meet again to begin our preparations for the challenge of a home tie against Stade Francais Paris at the Arms Park next Friday. It's a match to relish rather than fear and there is still a long way to go in the competition. We are far from finished."
Young also confirmed that none of the players on duty at Ravenhill suffered any injuries. Props Ben Evans and John Yapp are expected to be available for next week's match.
