Cardiff Blues Supporters Club (CBSC) have held their AGM at the BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park and the committee have announced the winners of the CBSC awards for season 2015/16.
Josh Turnbull was voted overwhelmingly as CBSC Player of the Season with Josh Navidi awarded the Junior member’s Player of the Season. Newcomer of the Season was a joint win for youngsters Dillon Lewis and Jarrod Evans.
Sarah Hopkins, CBSC Chairperson said: "Josh Turnbull was a huge favourite last season so this vote is not a surprise to any of us – his impact was significant and the award is very well deserved.
"It’s great to see Dillon and Jarrod picking up the Newcomer of the Season between them and we look forward to following their development over the coming months.
"However, they did face competition from coach Danny Wilson who himself won a few votes – we did have to discount them though as he wasn’t eligible for the award ! (Sorry Danny!).
"We’re delighted too for Josh Navidi who was himself our Player of the Year last year – he’s a brilliant ambassador for the Blues and a great role model for our junior members. On behalf of our members and the committee, I’d like to congratulate the four winners."
