Cardiff Blues would like to say a massive thank you to fans across the rugby world that have bought #StayStrongForOws wristbands to show their support - with over 5,000 purchased in less than a week!
We have teamed up with the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust to ensure we can raise valuable funds to help and support our injured player Owen Williams in the long-term as he continues his recovery.
Last week we launched #StayStrongForOws wristbands for fans to buy to show their support! And the reaction from supporters has been absolutely amazing with over 5,000 purchased and ordered online!
Many of you have also been showing your support on twitter with fans proudly wearing the bands and displaying the special ‘Ows’ message – using your left hand, create an ‘O’ with your index finger and thumb and ‘W’ with your fingers!
The wristbands carry the #StayStrongForOws motto and have been created in gold and navy blue to represent Cardiff Blues and Owen’s home town club Aberdare RFC. Wristbands are priced at just £1.50.
We can now confirm that even more wristbands are being created to meet the fantastic demand and will arrive with us in the coming weeks.

Clubs and businesses that wish to stock wristbands to sell can continue to place orders in batches of 100. Email [email protected] for an application form. We will also deliver these out as soon as possible.
