Season Membership policy

First Team News | 2nd July 2020

Season Members should today receive an email communication outlining the three options available regarding unfulfilled value on their membership.

Following the unfortunate news that the remainder of our season will be played behind closed doors we are unable to welcome supporters to four games that were scheduled to take place at Cardiff Arms Park against Zebre, Ospreys, Southern Kings and Connacht.

The past three months has had a devastating impact on the club, which is not dissimilar to the other regions or clubs throughout Europe, however we now face significant financial challenges to secure our immediate and long-term future.

During this period, we have taken a number of measures, including salary reductions and the majority of Cardiff Blues staff have been put on furlough. This includes our Ticket Office and we continue to work with a substantially reduced capacity.

The many messages of support we have received since the announcement has been overwhelmingly positive, and we want to thank everyone who has reached out or shares this sentiment.

The continued support, patience and understanding from the wider Cardiff Blues family at this time is appreciated by every one of us.

Season Members will now be able to choose one of three options - support, credit and refund.

If supporters can afford, and are willing, to ‘support’ the region via this donation option, it will make a significant impact in securing our immediate survival and long-term sustainability, and we will recognise these extremely generous gestures.

We also appreciate some supporters may not be in the position to do this and therefore you can either opt to keep the money in the club with the credit option or claim a full refund.

If you have not received an email, it will either be because the membership is attributed to another email (please check with family members or friends you purchase with) or we do not hold an email address. In this case supporters can expect a letter through the post in the coming days.

A full list of FAQs can be found here and if there are any further enquiries please email [email protected], however we must stress we continue to operate within an extremely reduced capacity.

If you have purchased individual match tickets, we will be releasing a similar policy via email next week.
