Following today’s announcement from the Guinness PRO14 and the planned return of rugby on August 22, Cardiff Blues can now provide a brief update to members and match ticket purchasers.
Professional rugby is now planned to return on August 22, however these initial games will be played behind closed doors.
Sadly many supporters, whether Season Members or individual match ticket purchasers, will have tickets to games that we can no longer fulfil.
Cardiff Blues have worked tirelessly with the WRU and our regional counterparts to implement fair policies, which will allow supporters to access any unfulfilled value while considering the long-term survival and sustainability of professional rugby in Wales.
We continue to face significant off-field challenges and have been flattered by the many gestures of goodwill from supporters offering to forgo refunds for the betterment of the club.
Supporters affected will be contacted directly in the coming week with details of the various options, which includes SUPPORT, CREDIT and REFUND.
