Cardiff Blues have today announced that former Wales coach, Scott Johnson will not be joining their regional coaching staff next season.
Commenting on the announcement, Blues CEO, Robert Norster said:
'After much discussion and a period of reflection with his family, Scott has informed us of his decision not to return to Wales at this point in his career. Scotts relationship with Wales and certainly our playing and coaching staff here at the Arms Park remains close despite his decision not to return at this time. We take the opportunity to thank Scott for his genuine interest in ongoing developments here at the Blues and wish him every success in the future.
The Blues will continue to use the remainder of the season to consider their options for a longer-term replacement for Assistant Coach, Rob Howley who is set to join the Wales national team on a full-time basis at the end of the current season.
