Young Cardiff Blues prop forward Sam Hobbs was injured during Sunday's LV=Cup match against Newcastle Falcons at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Young Cardiff Blues prop forward Sam Hobbs was injured during Sunday's LV=Cup match against Newcastle Falcons at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Sam was taken by ambulance to the University of Wales Hospital Heath where he stayed overnight. He was fully conscious and communicating normally with his family and the medical team. He had a comfortable night and further precautionary tests will be undertaken today.
It is thought Sam suffered a clash of heads during the first half which resulted in him being carried from the field in the 68th minute.
Cardiff Blues would like to thank all the supporters for the concern shown to Sam following his injury, and will keep them informed of his progress via the Blues website.
