Robinson in Blues' 22

27th January 2005

Nick Robinson is set to make his first appearance of the season after being named among the 22-man squad on duty for tomorrow evening's game against Edinburgh Rugby at the Arms Park.

The 23-year-old international fly-half has been sidelined by a viral illness since last August but has recovered enough to be on the replacements' bench. The likelihood is that he will have some game time in the second half.

Craig Morgan has failed a fitness test on his leg and Nick Macleod switches to full back and Lee Thomas returns in the number 10 shirt.

Tom Shanklin and Gethin Jenkins have been retained in the Wales squad preparing to play England so Jonny Bryant partners Tristan Davies in the centre.

In the pack Martin Jones plays at tight-head prop in place of Jenkins and Nathan Budgett packs down alongside new captain Deiniol Jones at lock.

Robert Sidoli is named among the replacements where Nick Walne also returns to action.

Team: Nick Macleod; Dean Dewdney, Tristan Davies, Jon Bryant, Jonny Vaughton; Lee Thomas, Ryan Powell; John Yapp, Rhys Thomas, Martin Jones, Deiniol Jones (captain), Nathan Budgett, Nathan Thomas, Kort Schubert, Robin Sowden-Taylor

Replacements: Ben Evans, Gareth Williams, Robert Sidoli, Maama Molitika, Nick Robinson, Nick Walne, Shaun James
