Cardiff's regional squad and the new name for the regional team will be announced tomorrow.
Representatives of the Cardiff Athletic Club and Cardiff Rugby Football Club Ltd., shareholders, sponsors, former players, supporters and the media will all hear first news of the exciting new regional squad and brand at a lunch-time reception at a city hotel.
There will be a simultaneous announcement on www.cardiffrfc.co.uk when the regional logo will also be revealed.
Meanwhile a busy week for the region is already underway. On Tuesday 3 June chief executive, Robert Norster, hosted a meeting of the district clubs at Cardiff Arms Park. He briefed them on the background to and main features of the new region and how all concerned can help each other.
Mr Norster said, "It was a very useful get-together where there was a two-way exchange of views and informtion. There is no doubt that a regional identity is the way forward and it was very encouraging to hear so many positive views from the other clubs in the region."
