2nd November 2005

Blues High Performance Manager Gafyn Cooper has confirmed that Under 20s fixture against Scarlets Under 20s on Wednesday 2nd November will now take place at Abercynon RFC and will kick off at 7.30pm.

The WRU Championship game was scheduled to be played at Sardis Road, Pontypridd, and then Llantwit Fadre, but has been moved due to the level of standing water at each venue.

The Blues under 20s will be seeking a first win in this season's Regional Championship when they take on the Scarlets.

One of the two pre-tournament favourites were downed by the Dragons first time out, 18-13, at a wet and windy Abertillery Park.

However, with home advantage in their favour and both Bradley Davies and Jamie Roberts returning from their recent sessions with the Wales senior squad, the Blues will be confident of breaking their duck and defeating the unbeaten Scarlets.

Gafyn Cooper, the region's high Performance manager said, "It was disappointing to have lost out on a filthy night in Abertillery, but we have a chance to put that right tomorrow.

"They won their first game so they will be in good spirit. However, we have a good side here and I would like to think we could register our first win and get things back on the right road."

The Dragons under will be looking to maintain their unbeaten record when they take on the Ospreys at the Brewery Field, Bridgend tomorrow night.

Chris Vitalini, Marcus Johnstone and Daniel Robinson scored tries in their outstanding victory over the Blues, but tomorrow's game will be an altogether different story with only very few games - at all levels - having been won away from home this season.

The Ospreys, beaten 27-18 by the Scarlets last time out, will enjoy that home advantage and High Performance manager Dai Arthur will be expecting better things from his side.
