Lee-lo receives Watches of Wales prize

31st August 2017

Rey Lee-Lo took time out of his schedule last week to visit Watches of Wales and collect his prize for winning the Peter Thomas Player of the Season award.

The electric centre was away on international duty when the awards took place at the Reardon Smith Lecture Theatre in the National Museum of Wales in June.

He received the accolade, sponsored by DS Smith, via video message but now back in Cardiff he was delighted to accept a watch kindly provided by long-standing sponsor Watches of Wales.

Paul Hornblow, owner of the luxury watch specialist based in Morgan Arcade, said: “We are delighted to support Cardiff Blues’ annual awards and present Rey with a watch following his stunning season.

“I am sure we will see more of the same from Rey in the 2017-18 season as Cardiff Blues continue to move in the right direction and we look forward to continuing our great working relationship.”

Lee-Lo featured in three of Samoa’s four summer Tests and was given an extended break over the summer but he is now back in action and available to face Edinburgh on Friday.

Lee-Lo added: “I’m really grateful to Paul and Watches of Wales for kindly giving me such a great watch.

“I was truly humbled and honoured to win the award back in June, it was such a shock but a great feeling and I am now ready to give my all to Cardiff Blues again in the season ahead.”
