Hundreds of Cardiff Blues supporters turned up at the Cardiff City Stadium to meet the new Blues recruits and their Amlin Cup heroes last night.

The free event, which was organized in association with the Cardiff Blues Supporters' Club, started with a signing session and the chance for the supporters to find out about new season ticket packages available with the Blues.

Cardiff Blues MC, Rob Toogood, then took the mic welcoming onto stage Paul Tito, Leigh Halfpenny, Richie Rees and Martyn Williams, with Williams revealing that his biggest fear on the day of the Amlin Cup final was getting sun burned.

Speaking on the night, Cardiff Blues Captain, Paul Tito said,

“There was an amazing atmosphere in Marseille for the final, and to repeat what Martyn said, we were really grateful for all the fans for made the journey to the south of France, especially those who invested so much time and effort  travelling by coach.”

“It was a fantastic win and great to be able to reward the supporters for the faith they showed in us.”

“Our aim for next season is to build on this and hopefully go further in the Heineken Cup.”

Following the Amlin Q&A there were questions for new signings Dan Parks, Michael Paterson, Tom Brown, Tom Davies and Bryn Griffiths, who have all joined the region this summer. A video of the night will appear on www.bluesrugby.tv shortly.
