European Challenge Cup draw

Cardiff Blues have been drawn in Pool 2 of the European Challenge Cup alongside Sale Sharks, Lyon and Toulouse.

The draw was made this afternoon in Switzerland, with Wales' Capital Region seeded in Tier One, alongside Newcastle, Gloucester, Stade Francais and Brive.

Cardiff Blues lifted the Challenge Cup trophy in 2010, beating Toulon 28-21 in the final in Marseilles. Sale Sharks are two-time winners of the competition and Toulouse are four-time winners of the Champions Cup.
