29th April 2004

Munster's Celtic League squad flew into Cardiff this afternoon with a clutch of world-class players in their ranks, including 58-times capped All Black Christian Cullen, ready to challenge the Blues at the Arms Park tomorrow evening.

Cullen will play at full back, directly opposite Rhys Williams, in a Munster back division that pairs Mike Mullins and Lion Rob Henderson in the centre and another Irish international, Jason Holland, at fly-half.

Highly-rated flanker Alan Quinlan returns to the open-side and the outstanding Donnacha O'Callaghan is named at lock while Scottish cap Gordon McIlwham packs down at tight-head.

Team: Christian Cullen; Martin McPhail, Mike Mullins, Rob Henderson, Shaun Payne; Jason Holland, Eoin Reddan; Frank Roche, Jerry Flannery, Gordon McIlwham, Donnacha O'Callaghan, David Pusey, Stephen Keogh, Peter Malone, Alan Quinlan

Tomorrow's match programme will include a full statement by chief executive Robert Norster about the background to the switching of the date for the final home again against Edinburgh Rugby to Thursday 13 May. Extracts were published in the local press today with the club's permission.
