Cardiff Blues Family Day at Cardiff Arms Park

6th July 2006

Cardiff Blues will be hosting the annual summer Fun Day for junior members and their families on Sunday 16th July from 12pm at Cardiff Arms Park.

The event will showcase many exciting activities including the legendary mascot race, bouncy castles, assault courses, a climbing wall, rugby, football and cricket coaching, as well as visits from South Wales Police, South Wales Fire Brigade, the army and a WRC Rally car.

There will be many give-aways and prizes to be won as well as face painting, magicians, entertainers, the Red Dragon FM Dance Team, and a chance to be creative with painting and craft stalls. Young supporters will have the chance to tour the Cardiff Arms Park ground, the trophy room and changing rooms and meet the Cardiff Blues team.

The supporters club will also present Xavier Rush, Nick Robinson and Marc Stcherbina with awards for their performances last season. Junior members who join or rejoin CRSC on the day will be given the opportunity to present the awards to the players.

The fun day is a free event and all supporters are welcome. However if you can’t make the 16th July, you will have the opportunity to see more of the Blues this summer than ever before. On the 22 & 23 July squad members will be attending the Tesco Children’s Festival at Coopers Field, Cardiff and following the success of last year’s visit the Blues will be returning to Royal Welsh Show in Builth Wells from the 24th to 27th of July before moving to The Big Cheese in Caerphilly from the 29th to 30th of July. More events follow in August, with events in the Vale of Glamorgan, Cardiff, RCT and Merhyr

At each event young followers will be able to meet their heroes, take part in rugby coaching, pick up some free giveaways as well as purchase a new Cardiff Blues shirt or season ticket.
