The Blues have played Ulster 14 times in the League, winning 9 of those matches and scoring 27 tries across those 14 encounters. However the Irish outfit started this season with five consecutive league wins and will be keen to return to winning ways as they bid for a place in the all important play off positions.

The Blues have won four of their last five games against Irish opponents and have won their last seven matches against Ulster, however, Blues Director of Rugby David Young is taking nothing for granted,

“Ulster have spent a lot of money and obviously are a team that wants to get back to the top where they were a couple of seasons ago,” said Young.

Ulster have lost their last three games in all competitions, and have not won away from Ravenhill since their trip to Aironi in round two.
