Blues pay tribute to Gerald Wallace

6th December 2013

Everyone at Cardiff Blues was today saddened to hear the news that former Cardiff RFC player and Wales international Gerald Bruce Wallace has passed away aged 68.

Gerald Bruce Wallace played 195 games for Cardiff RFC between 1965/66 and 1974/75, scoring five tries.

Last month he was one of 25 players awarded a specialWRU President's Cap for playing for Wales in non-Test matches. He played in the Wales versus Tonga fixture in 1974.

Blues will hold a minutes silence ahead of tonight’s fixture with Glasgow Warriors in the Heineken Cup to remember Gerald and also pay tribute to those affected by the helicopter tragedy in Glasgow.

Everyone at Cardiff Arms Park would like to pass on their condolences to Gerald’s family and friends and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
