Amlin Challenge Cup semi-final

The Blues have recorded some big wins in April with four victories in the Magners League, against Ulster twice, the Scarlets and Dragons away and an Amlin Challenge Cup quarter-final win over Newcastle Falcons in the north east.

The win at Rodney Parade may have come at a cost with the Blues picking up a number of injuries. Andy Powell tore his calf muscle and is expected to be out for two to three weeks, while Jamie Roberts took a bump to the knee and Richie Rees twisted his ankle.

The Blues will wait until the end of the week before naming their team

"A couple of the players picked up bumps in Newport so we will wait as long as we can before naming the side," said David Young.

"We are all excited to be in a European semi final again but we know that playing Wasps away is going to be a difficult match."

"They have real pedigree in Europe having won both the Amlin and the Heineken Cups and they still have star players and a ruthless edge."

"However, we've played some of our best rugby on the road this season so we will be looking to carry that form into Saturday's match."
