As part of the celebration community groups can claim up to 50 FREE tickets to watch the match, as the Blues look to build on their relationships with youth organisations.

Community groups may wish to use their tickets to arrange a group trip, give them to individual members and their families, or even use them as achievement incentives. It's up to the community groups to decide how they use them, whether it's for fundraising or rewarding.

The Blues already run similar schemes with rugby clubs and schools within the region which have proved to be hugely popular and successful. The school scheme raised more than £51,000, with teachers using the money raised to purchase new sports equipment and in some cases funding school trips abroad.

One group that has signed up for the new Regional Youth Ticketing Scheme is the 61st Park End Scout Group in Cardiff.

Neil Wittington, the Assistant Group Scout Leader said,

"I think the new Regional Youth Day and Ticketing Scheme is a great idea and that's why we decided to sign up."

"The Cubs and Scouts offer a number of outdoor activities for youngster and one badge that they can work for is the Sports Enthusiast Badge."

"The Cubs and Scouts have to learn about a sport in their area and this is the ideal opportunity to come down to the stadium to watch a match, obviously we are a charity based group so could not afford to pay full price for all the tickets."

"I'm sure it will be an enjoyable day out as we already have a number of Cardiff Blues fans who are members."

"There is a problem with obesity in this country and children are very inactive, sitting around the house all day, so anything we can do to get them interested in outdoor activities and sport is a real bonus."

"As a region we have a responsibility to support our local community and we hope that the event will strengthen our links with youth groups within the area."

Regional Youth Ticketing Scheme

Our Regional Youth Day will also celebrate the launch of our Regional Youth Ticketing Scheme, which can be an effective FUNDRAISING tool for your community group.

How the Scheme Works

There are approximately 8 home games remaining this season. Community groups can choose the games that they wish to attend

Each community group can order between 20-100 match tickets for their chosen games - the match day value of the ticket is £10.00 per junior ticket and £20 per adult ticket.

In return, Cardiff Blues would require a payment of £2 per ticket from each school at least 3 days prior to the event.

Each community group is within its rights to distribute their batch of tickets how they see appropriate- amongst members, as competition prizes, achievement incentives or internally amongst staff. The ticket offer can also be extended to family and friends of the community group.

Each group can dictate the price of any ticket they sell, up to the match day value, therefore an effective way of raising money for their community programme. Potentially they can make £800 from purchasing 100 junior tickets.
