Leigh Halfpenny

Leigh Halfpenny made his Cardiff Blues debut against Ulster at Ravenhill in May 2008, scoring 3 conversions in the 17-26 victory.

Halfpenny shone through the age grade system taking part in the 2005–2006 season's U18 Home Four Nations Championship and earned a call up to the Wales U19 squad during the 2006–2007 season for the U19 IRB World Championships in Belfast after impressing in the spring internationals.

Leigh enjoyed a successful tournament, starring in every match, and gaining one try against Argentina and a brace against Samoa in the Pool stages of the U19 competition. He finished the tournament on a total of 57 points scored for his country.

Halfpenny joined Cardiff RFC ahead of the 2007–2008 season and represented the Blues U20 in the Reebok Regional U20 Championship.
