Cardiff Blues kicked off looking to get back to winning ways following last weekend's defeat to Ulster.
However, it was Glasgow who were putting pressure on the Blues in the opening quarter, dominating territory and possession, but still failing to get points on the board, until Peter Horne converted two penalties to give the visitors as 6-0 lead with 25 minutes gone.
The Blues were failing to break through the Glasgow defence and the Scottish side seemed to be holding onto the ball a lot more effectively than the home team. Glasgow extended their lead when the Blues infringed in a ruck and Horne was again accurate with the boot.
Watts-Jones went off for the Blues after a hard tackle on Lamont and soon after the Blues were penalised in the scrum much to the disapproval of the Arms Park faithful. Horne again converted to get Glasgow into double figures. Halfpenny did get one back for the Blues just before the break to bring the score to 3-12.

The second half started with another penalty for Glasgow with the Arms Park faithful again making their disapproval known. Horne maintained his 100% record making it 15 for Glasgow.
The Blues did get a chance at goal, all be it from 45 yards out, following and infringement in the scrum, but Halfpenny was just wide with his effort. Horne, however, was accurate with his attempt following the Blues being penalised in the scrum once more, to bring the score to 3-18.
The Blues did fight back with a great effort. Having kicked for a lineout and winning clean ball they did well to ship it on to Gavin Evans who showed great hands to move the ball on to Halfpenny when under pressure. The fullback gathered well, but as he dived over Stuart Hogg punched the ball out of his hands.
There was a bit more zip to the Blues following this effort, with Tom James and Dan Fish looking dangerous in attack, but it was to no avail as Glasgow secured the win and the Blues falling to a second defeat at home to a Scottish side.
