Cardiff RFC seek new head coach

6th April 2017

Cardiff RFC are seeking a new head coach after it was agreed Duane Goodfield would step down from the position to focus on his role with the region during the 2017-18 season.

The hooker took the helm at the beginning of the season alongside his commitments as Cardiff Blues Academy coach.

However it has now been decided that he should focus solely on Cardiff Blues with the appointment of a standalone head coach at Cardiff RFC.

Cardiff RFC chairman Chris Norman said: “We are very grateful to Duane for all of his hard work over the past season.

“He is an enormously talented young coach and has done a brilliant job, however with his increasing commitments to Cardiff Blues we felt it necessary to bring in a new head coach whose sole focus is Cardiff RFC.

“We all thank Duane for his efforts and wish him the very best for the future.”

Applicants for the position of head coach should be made to Hannah Davis, with initial expressions of interest encouraged by Wednesday, April 12.
