Parker set for Wales Women debut

21st February 2017

Cardiff Blues scrum-half Rhiannon Parker will make her debut for the Wales Women side in Friday's Women's Six Nations match against Scotland at Broadwood Stadium (KO 6.20pm).

Parker is one of four changes to the Wales team that were beaten by England in the last round, with Scarlets’ Jasmine Joyce also winning her first senior cap.

Meanwhile, Cardiff Blues’ Nia Elen Davies has been named on the bench.

Head coach Rowland Phillips feels both Parker and Joyce have impressed enough in camp to earn the opportunity on Friday:

“Jasmine and Rhiannon are two talented individuals who have been in and around the squad for a while now, and we feel the way they’ve performed in the warm-up games and in training has earnt them this opportunity.”
