Cardiff Blues have added to their half-back resources with the double signing of Pele Cowley and Nicky Robinson on short-term contracts.
Samoan scrum-half Cowley links up with Wales' Capital Region after Lewis Jones underwent knee surgery.
Cowley, a member of Samoa's Autumn squad, has won eight Test caps and has enjoyed stints at Counties Manukau and Waikato, where he played alongside Willis Halaholo.
Former BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park favourite Robinson requires no introduction and returns to his former stomping ground seven years after joining Gloucester.
Robinson has been brought in after Jarrod Evans was ruled out for eight to 10 weeks with a fractured jaw and Dan Fish suffered a serious hamstring injury.
Robinson made 125 appearances for the region between 2003 and 2009, memorably guiding the Blues to the EDF Cup, before representing Gloucester, Wasps, Bristol and most recently Oyonnax.
Cardiff Blues head coach Danny Wilson said: “We needed to bring a couple of players in as injury cover and both will add further quality and depth to our squad.
“It’s good to bring a player of Nicky’s experience back to BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park. His quality is undeniable, he has a wealth of experience from his time with the Blues, the English Premiership and the international game and plenty of leadership qualities.
“Both Matt Sherratt and I have worked with Nicky at Bristol, he is a good bloke and a very good professional. He has kept himself in good physical condition and will now begin training.
“We also needed another scrum-half and Pele is a current international, who played during the autumn. He is a young and exciting player that gives us further depth in the position.”
Both players linked up with the region on Monday to begin training and are available for selection.
