Head Coach Danny Wilson has labelled the home clash with Ulster Rugby must-win for his Cardiff Blues and warned: 'we have to be consistent and get results now'.
Cardiff Blues are back on home soil and BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park on Sunday afternoon as they welcome the Irish province in the Guinness PRO12.
And Wilson has driven home the importance of the right result after narrow defeats to Treviso and Leinster in recent weeks.
He said: “Our problem this season has been inconsistency; we’ve seen some great performances and results but also some losses that have been frustrating.
“It leads into a period when we have to be consistent and get results now to fight for league position when we come to the business end.
“We need to get a couple of wins and give ourselves chance to climb the league.
“It’s difficult in terms of selection right now, and that is always going to change week in and week out with the Welsh squad situation and injuries and call-ups.
“But we’re looking forward to a few games that are big challenges - that starts with Ulster at home on Sunday.”
