Millard strike as Wales Under-20s win

6th February 2016

Cardiff Blues Centre Harri Millard grabbed a second half try as Wales Under-20s kicked off their 6 Nations Championship campaign with a four try 35-24 victory over Ireland at Donnybrook.

Tries from Dafydd Hughes, Adam Beard, Dan Jones and Millard scored to help Wales to the win after Ireland, seeking a first victory over Wales at this level in four attempts, took an early lead.

It was a performance of genuine note with the Welsh forwards dominant at the tackle area and the back division showing a collective desire to play with width.

And Cardiff Blues had plenty of representation in the game with Elis-Wyn Benham, Millard, Corey Domachowski, Dillon Lewis and Shane Lewis-Hughes all starting the fixture while Robert Lewis, Morgan Sieniawski and Jarrod Evans were named among the replacements.

Following Friday night's win over Ireland, Wales Under 20 return to Parc Eirias in Colwyn Bay for their first home match of the season, against Scotland, on Friday.
