Blues wing called up for World Championships

Wing Ellis Wyn Benham has been called into the Wales squad for the World Rugby Under-20 Championship being staged in Italy next month (June 2-20).

The rising star replaces utility back James Whittingham, who is ruled out with concussion, and joins seven regional team-mates in props Dillon Lewis and Joe Jones, hooker Liam Belcher, lock Seb Davies, scrum half Tomos Williams, fly half Jarrod Evans and centre Garyn Smith in a 28-man squad.

Wales Under-20 leave for Italy on Thursday in time for their opening Pool A game against France on Tuesday (Calvisano, 16.30).

They then face double champions England on Saturday 6 June, also at Calvisano (20.30) with their final Pool game against Japan on Wednesday 10 June in Viadana (18.30).
