The flying Wales Sevens and Wales Under-20 wing, the son of former Wales hooker Garin Jenkins, could now get another opportunity after being named on the bench for the LV=Cup clash with Bath Rugby this Saturday afternoon.
And, on the day it was revealed he had signed new terms, the young back who has also impressed at Pontypridd has spoken about how he has settled into life at Blues.
"My goal this season was to get a regional contract and get a chance to play for the Blues - I'm so happy with how everything has gone," he said.
"I must have done something right over in Italy because not long afterwards we spoke about a contract and I can now plan for the next few years here and improving as a player.
"I have enjoyed training with the first team squad and getting used to that environment.
"There is a great coaching set-up here and the players are tight knit. I know Paul (John) well from Wales Sevens and Pontypridd so it's good to know I can work closely with him.
"There are a lot of talented wingers who have already taught me a lot, being around these players can only help me.
"Hopefully I can now get some more games in the coming weeks and push my chances for more rugby. I need to make an impression when I get an opportunity."
