Davies and Allen face spell on sidelines

21st November 2013

Lock Bradley Davies and centre Cory Allen are both to set for a spell on the sidelines after undergoing surgery.

The Cardiff Blues duo picked up injuries in the recent autumn international fixture for Wales against Argentina and will now miss several key games for the region.

Davies, 26, has had medical assessments this week and the second row, who has played 114 games for Blues since 2006, has now undergone surgery today (Thursday).

Talented centre Allen, 20, dislocated his shoulder on his full debut for Wales and will also have surgery later this week.

Both players are expected to be out of action for several months as they start rehabilitation.

The region is working hard in the market place to reinforce several key positions and everyone at Blues wishes both Bradley and Cory well during their recovery.
