Having previously won the Powergen Cup with Leeds Tykes Scott Morgan knows what it takes to win big cup matches.
As the EDF Energy Cup semi finals approach this Saturday the Neath born player is raring to go having not played a match since the Blues faced Glasgow at the end of January.
"Were all really looking forward to the match, hopefully theyll be 50,000 people there and at regional level it doesnt really get much bigger than this."
"Ive only played once in the last eight weeks which has been a little bit frustrating, but Ive taken the positives and Im all ready to go on Saturday."
"They are a good team and have few weaknesses, so well have to be at the top of our game to get the result."
The rangy back row forward has impressed with his performances with the Blues and was called up to the Wales squad for the first time during this years Six Nations tournament.
"My focus is on the Cardiff Blues and playing well for them and hopefully if I do that it will do my chances no harm for being selected for the Wales summer tour of Australia. I know that is a massive goal for a lot of boys, its a big carrot that they are dangling but all you can do is go on the field and perform."
Scott Morgan was in St Davids shopping centre with fellow team mate Nick Macleod helping to promote the match. The Cardiff Blues have already sold over 7,000 tickets for match.
"Weve got a keen rivalry between the two teams and obviously this is magnified as its a semi final match." Said Macleod
"The boys have been training well all week weve had some class international players coming back from a good end to the Six Nations which has also been a boost."
The match has caught the imagination of the Blues supporters who have already purchased over 7,000 tickets for the match directly from the Cardiff Blues ticket office. Bishop of Llandaff High School product Macleod, who celebrates his 24th birthday on Friday, remembers big Welsh finals being played at the national stadium.
"Being a local boy I remember going to watch Schweppes Cup finals at the old Cardiff Arms Park National Stadium. They were always huge events so this is going to be a sort of Welsh final if you like."
"Its all about playing well for the Blues and hopefully its a great stage to play on and playing against fellow Welshmen."
"I dont have anything special planned for my birthday, it will be a quiet one, but hopefully Ill have a chance to celebrate with the Blues on Saturday."
