The much anticipated clash against the reigning Heineken Cup champions is certain to be a sell out which means that the Cardiff Blues will have sold nearly 40,000 tickets for Heineken Cup matches already this season.

"Last year was a big season for us when we broke the Celtic League record attendance twice and again this year we had the highest attendances of all the Welsh teams in the EDF Energy. Of course, the real jewel in the crown of European rugby is the Heineken Cup and to have sold nearly 40,000 tickets for just two games is a massive achievement.

"To have over 26,500 supporters for the match against Leicester Tigers was huge landmark and easily beat previous Welsh record - any team would be envious of a crowd that big for a pool match.

"The ticket office staff have been working flat out selling tickets for the Munster match and if you look at the statistics it just goes to show that the Cardiff Blues are leading the way in being the best supported side in Wales.

"Our crowds for Heineken Cup games this year have increased dramatically since regional rugby began and reflects the huge strides we have taken both on and off the pitch" said Gwydion Griffiths, Cardiff Blues Marketing and Media Officer.

Due to the high demand for tickets for this game and the extreme importance of the fixture, Cardiff Blues have released a new ticket category for this game - the VIP Ticket priced £35 + VAT.

Situated high above the south stand, the Airspace Lounge provides an unbeatable view of the action, allowing you to enjoy the great atmosphere of the game in style.

A complimentary buffet pre-match will be served, and you will have access to the exclusive Airspace Bar, match programme and satellite TV showing the Blues video channel and coverage of the match.

Stand and Terrace tickets for the match are only available if at least one of the following criteria can be met;

• The customer is an existing Season ticket holder, Exile member or Blues Card holder
• The customer has purchased from Cardiff Blues Ticket office before 1/11/2006 and is registered on the supporter database
• The customer can prove that they have attended a Cardiff Blues match in the recent past, e.g. production of valid Cardiff Blues ticket
• There are only a limited number of tickets now available. This game is nearly a SELL OUT and supporters are encouraged to buy now to avoid disappointment.

Munster Fans wishing to purchase tickets can do so direct from Munster who have received their standard allocation. Tickets will not be available online so that the ticket office can verify the above criteria are met.
