Cardiff Blues team to face Perpignan announced

26th October 2005

David Young, Cardiff Blues Director of Coaching today announced the side to face Perpignan in the second Heineken Cup match of the season.

There are no changes from the starting XV that beat Leeds Tykes on Saturday. Maama Molitika takes his place on the bench in place of Tristan Davies, Xavier Rush is still recovering from a shoulder injury sustained whilst playing against Leinster.

David Young said,
“The selection is a real vote of confidence following our second half performance against the Leeds Tykes on Saturday, and it’s a clear intent of the way we want to play the game. We want to move the ball around and play an expansive game and we feel we have the mobility to do this.

It will be a huge test for the team out in France and obviously the challenge will be up front as they will try to out muscle us but we will have to gain parity at least if we are to play the type of game we want to play.”
