New Season Ticket Prices Announced

4th October 2005

It has been a particularly busy week so far for the Cardiff Blues ticket office fielding calls from supporters wanting to buy season tickets, following the news that the Blues have signed All Black legend Jonah Lomu.

The giant winger will arrive in mid November and is expected to make his home debut against Calvisano in the Heineken Cup.

With the surge in demand for this fixture it is advisable that fans, who are not season ticket holders, should purchase tickets early or take advantage of a revised season ticket package.

The Blues have restructured the season ticket prices so that the supporters do not have to pay for games that have already been played. The prices are as follow:

Premier £188
Stand Adult £165
Stand Conc £125
Terrace Adult £118
Terrace Conc £98
Juniors £30

Robert Norster the Cardiff Blues Chief Executive Officer said:

“There was a great atmosphere in the ground on Saturday and the result against Saracens gave us all a real boost. Our three recent victories have really lifted our supporters and the news of Jonah Lomu signing has caught everyones imagination. Our season ticket offer reflects the fact that we have already staged three home games and our new prices provide great value for money”

In light of increasing crowds at Cardiff Arms Park, the Blues are also piloting an automated booking system that will enable supporters to buy match tickets over the phone twenty four hours a day. The automated booking line enables the fans to buy tickets twenty four hours a day, seven days a week by calling 0870 116 3970. Initially for Terrace tickets only the new system utilises voice recognition from Welsh based Company Oritor and links directly into the Blues ticket booking system.

“There is a real buzz about the Arms Park at the moment and we anticipate that things will be getting even busier over the coming months.

"We are constantly looking at ways to provide better service for our supporters and although it is already possible for fans to buy tickets from our website the new phone service is another added option and just one example of how we are making it easier for our supporters can get access to tickets.

"The new service will only be available to buy terrace tickets at the moment but we are looking at ways of selling seated tickets at a later date.” Said Abigail Gibbins Ticket Office Manager
