Blues Win Again

21st February 2004

The Blues recorded their fourth consecutive win, beating Connacht 21-18 to leapfrog into seventh place in the Celtic League.

Man-of-the-month Nick Robinson scored all 21 points, including two tries, as the Blues held on to a 13-3 interval lead and completed a season's double over the Irish province.

Chief executive Robert Norster hailed a gutsy performance as he said,

"This was a triumph for team spirit as exampled by the way everyone pulled together to survive a particularly difficult final five minutes when we were under the cosh.

"I am particularly delighted for Dai Young, Geraint John and all the team for they have worked so hard to maintain our winning run and climb up the table."
