A print and document solutions company that employs three former Cardiff Rugby Club players has signed up to sponsor the Cardiff Blues for the current season.

Danwood Wales, who employs former prop Ian Eidman, flanker Owen Golding and former No.8 Emyr Lewis, has partnered with the Cardiff Blues to sponsor the team and provide print support for the back office function of the Club.

As part of their sponsorship agreement with the Blues, the print company which specialises in supplying state-of-the-art print solutions to businesses across south Wales, will sponsor a number of home matches throughout the season, receive tickets to games, advertise in match programmes, and have a company presence around the pitch and throughout the stadium.

On sponsoring the team, former Cardiff Rugby Club player and director of Danwood Wales, Ian Eidman said: “We are delighted to be supporting the Blues this season, as a former player I know from experience how fundamental sponsorship from local businesses is to the Blues. This support allows the players to focus on winning games and enables the club to work more closely with up and coming rugby players, helping to develop the careers of future stars through the Cardiff Blues Academy.”

Tina Tew, Cardiff Blues Sales & Marketing Director said: “We would like to thank Danwood Wales for their support this season. Working closely in partnership with former rugby players like Ian who have firsthand experience and knowledge of the game itself, brings benefits for both organisations. In addition to providing invaluable financial support, as sponsors, Danwood Wales will receive increased brand awareness whilst the Blues will continue to receive print support from Danwood Wales.”

Added Ian: “Having been associated with the Cardiff Rugby Club throughout my rugby career I am delighted to be able to give something back to the club. As we continue to build our business partnership over the coming months I am looking forward to continuing to support the team and following their success for many years to come.”

Danwood Wales is Wales’s largest independent supplier of office printing equipment and document management solutions. Part of the wider Danwood Group, Danwood Wales was formed in 2009 through the acquisitions of Cardiff-based Algebra and Bridgend-based Photostatic that collectively have over 38 years experience in the print industry.
