Tickets selling fast for Munster match

27th February 2008

Tickets for the Cardiff Blues v Munster Magners League match on Saturday, 5.30pm kick off, are selling fast with only terrace and family stand tickets remaining.

Speaking ahead of the match David Young said, “We always look forward to playing Munster and know each other quite well. They have a lot of strength in depth and are used to playing without some of their internationals which could be the case this weekend.”
“They are just ahead of us in the league so it’s an important game for both sides. It is also a game either team could win, but we are determined to get the right result to keep us in the title race.”
“The Leinster result was very disappointing and I thought it was a game of two differing twenty minutes. For the first twenty we were outstanding and played really well but the last twenty we lacked a little control and composure.”
Over 43 clubs from the region will be attending the Regional Clubs Day match, and everyone who wears their club shirt to the game will receive £5 off voucher for the Blues versus Scarlets fixture which will be played at the Arms Park on Friday 11th April at 7.10pm.
Seven teams from the region will also be parading their trophies at half time having won national competitions during the 06/07 season.

Wales coach Warren Gatland has released nine of his 29-man RBS Six Nations squad to play for their regions and clubs this weekend with Deiniol Jones, Robin Sowden-Taylor, Jamie Roberts and Tom James all returning to the Blues training camp this week.

The team will be announced at lunchtime on Thursday.
