Former Cardiff Blues centre Marc Stcherbina has undergone surgery after suffering a neck injury playing for the Newport Gwent Dragons against Toulouse over the weekend.
Stcherbina, who is on loan with the Dragons from the Cardiff Blues, sustained a fractured vertebrae and disc damage while making a tackle nine minutes into the second half of the Pool 5 clash at the Stade Ernest Wallon.
He remains in hospital having had an operation to stabilise his neck, with his partner Tazmin having flown out to Toulouse to be with him.
Everyone at the Cardiff Blues wish Marc well with his recovery from the injury.
