The Primary Schools from Cardiff had earlier that day taken part in a unique 'Rugby World Cup Tag Rugby Festival' at Glamorgan Wanderers with nearly 100 children showcasing their rugby playing talents in front of the Irish players, coaches and management.
The children along with the visiting pupils of the secondary school then observed Ireland Head Coach and former Ireland outside Half Eric Elwood deliver a 45 minute skills session with his squad before he and his players interacted with the school children through kicking and passing fun, autograph signing, picture taking and various questioning.
Each School that attended will now receive 50 free tickets to watch Ireland play Tonga and New Zealand play Argentina on June 14th at Cardiff Arms Park.
Ireland will also on Thursday 12th June be providing the opportunity for school coaches, community club coaches and age group coaches from across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan to come along to Glamorgan Wanderers 2pm-3pm and observe an open coaching session. The session will enable community and schools coaches to see elite international coaches and players in action plus an opportunity to ask the Irish coaching staff questions afterwards.
