The scheme allows each club within the Blues region to adopt a player for their mini and junior sections. Adopted players' will be available to attend mini or junior section events such as: presentation evenings, coaching sessions, or other clubs events involving these sections.

Each Club will have access to their player on two occasions throughout the season.

Liz Challenor, Regional Clubs Co-ordinator said "The Adopt a Player scheme has grown in popularity over the seasons, with players getting the chance to meet younger fans in their own clubs. Last season many of the clubs used the player appearances to present certificates or help out with coaching sessions."

"The clubs have access to the players twice a season and the more notice they can give us when they would like the players to visit the better. We have had our fixtures confirmed up until the New Year, so we are advising clubs to try to book one appearance before Christmas and one towards the end of the season. As per last season, dates will be communicated to the clubs as to when players are available for such appearances."

If your Mini or Junior rugby team would like your adopted player to visit your club, please ask your junior fixture secretary to write in to Liz Challenor, Regional Clubs Co-ordinator at Cardiff Blues, Leckwith Road, Cardiff, CF11 8AZ at least two weeks before the event.
