At half time both sides made a number of changes. While this seemed to strengthen the resolve of the home side's defence, they could not cope with the speed of the Cardiff & Vale back three. Before long Aaron Reid was in the hunt again for the fifth try of the day. Then, not to be outdone, fullback Danny Wardle finished off a great passage of play to score the sixth. Both tries were converted by outside half Josh Rees for the score to finish 0-34.
Though the backs scored 5 of the six tries on the day, they cannot take all the glory. They should be very grateful to the Cardiff & Vale forwards who worked tirelessly to provide them with a superb platform of possession. While they all deserve praise, a special mention must go to man of the match Sam Parker leading the way from Number 8

Heart of Wales 5 Cardiff and Vale 51
Cardiff and the Vale under 14s recorded their second win of the season over the Heart of Wales at Brecon but this time it was a comprehensive victory unlike the last minute win over Pembrokeshire in their last game. 8 tries were scored as the Heart of Wales were overwhelmed.
Great forward displays by hooker Cai Milson and lock Rhys Owen ensured a constant supply of quick ball for scrum half Lee Marshall. In the backs centre Lloyd Chalke and wing Joe Mclean were outstanding as the District racked up 51 points.
