He has been an extremely popular player with the supporters and has worked tirelessly for the numerous charity's that the Arms Park team has supported over the years.
"I used to come to watch Cardiff play when I was a kid with my dad and then I went on to play for Cardiff Youth and I've thoroughly enjoyed playing at the Arms Park over the years, said Ben Evans.
"Certain patches have been good and others bad and I think it's fair to play I haven't cemented my place in the side as the Blues are fortunate to have two gifted young props in Gethin Jenkins and John Yapp.
"It's time for me to move on and get away from South Wales, it's a new adventure and a new start for me. Having so many Welsh boys in the camp helped me make the decision to join Sale so I'm looking forward to it.
"The fans have always been great with me and I've enjoyed doing the charity work and working with the kids as I think it's important to give something back in to the game."
This season Ben has played in 13 competitive games, including 6 as a substitute.
