Former Wales under-21 captain Dafydd Hewitt has recovered from a troublesome leg injury and returns to action for the first time in three months against Bridgend on Saturday (kick-off 2.30 pm).
Other injury news concerns Hooker Ross Johnston who is expected to be sidelined for four to five weeks with a shoulder injury and a neck injury will keep Michael Leaman out for up to a fortnight.
Due to these injuries Cardiff Blues under-20 hooker Aaron Fowler is named among the replacements for Cardiff this weekend.
