The commitment and skill of the Cardiff squad were superior in every facet. It was only the tenacious defence displayed by the opposition, that prevented Cardiff scoring more points.
Try of the game came when Jack Beere (St. Bernadettes) secured turn over ball and the Cardiff side won the ensuing ruck. Mathew Jones (Bryn Hafod) made the hard yards from a pick up, supported well by Ryan Farrah (St. Peters). The referee stopped play for an unsighted ball on the opposition 10 yard line. From the scrum, quick thinking and a sniping run from Michael Hale saw more Cardiff points.
A comprehensive victory sees Cardiff now progress to the quarter finals of the DC Thomas Cup.
Man of the match. Bradley Mais (Pentrebane). His charging runs into the heart of the opposition and his wonderful levels of skill on the ball created many of Cardiff's try scoring opportunities.
