The outstanding work by the Development Officers can be seen at every Cardiff Blues home match with half time Under 8 tag games being played between the junior sides within the region. This Saturday at the Cardiff Blues versus Ospreys game at the Arms Park supporters will see Sully and Mountain Ash demonstrate their skills.
Black Horse are the principal sponsor of the Future Blues scheme. Speaking of the anniversary Ian O'Hare, Head of Corporate Communication at Black Horse said:
"Having been involved from the very beginning, supporting rugby development within the capital and now the region it is a pleasure to be part of the excellent Future Blues programme, one year after its launch.
"Thanks to the efforts of the development officers employed and by Cardiff Blues to run this scheme and the commitment and time of the coaches and players, thousands of young people have been inspired to become involved in the sport of rugby and at the least have learnt important life skills such as personal responsibility, teamwork, communication and the benefits of playing sport as part of a healthy lifestyle.
"An excellent first year which bodes well for the future of rugby in South Wales and in particular for the Cardiff Blues."
