Young led the side to a 30-3 victory over Scotland Under 18 at Melrose last Sunday, with fellow Blues Under 18 squad members Harry Robinson and Harley Thompson getting on the score sheet with a try and penalty respectively.

Following Sunday's game against England, Wales play Ireland and Italy at Llandovery RFC on Friday 2 April and Saturday 10 April (both 2pm) as part of the Under 18 Five Nations festival.

Wales have performed well at this level in recent seasons and head coach Simon King is confident in his side's abilities: "We are pleased with the level of strength in depth we have developed over the past couple of seasons. A number of our current squad gained experience with us last season, and for our game against Australian Schools at Colwyn Bay in December. The WRU Under 18 Regional Championship, won by the Blues, was also very competitive and we have four or five players pushing for places in a number of positions which is great to see."

"We were pleased with the performance against Scotland last weekend. Our skill levels were very good but we also dominated physically which is unusual against the Scots but very pleasing. It has to be said that England are the benchmark at this level and we will have to be at the top of our game to come away with a result on Sunday but we will be 100% prepared for the challenge."

Along with Young, Robinson and Thompson, ten other members of this season's successful Blues Under 18 squad have been selected in the Wales Under 18 Five Nations squad: Sam Campbell, Joseff Griffin, Darran Harris, Will Griff John, Jack Dando, Cory Hill, Matthew Screech, Ellis Jenkins, Callum Thomas and Owen Sheppeard. Wales squad member Tom Prydie who won a full international cap last Saturday against Italy is also included and could feature in the forthcoming games.
