Sunday 2nd October 2011 - Rydal Penrhos School, Colwyn Bay
The Blues U16 South made the long trip from their training base a Leckwith to the far North of Wales, Colwyn Bay.
This was game number 4 for the unbeaten Blues youngsters after impressing in previous victories over the Dragons, Ospreys and Blues North. The Blues started the game well with flying winger Benoit Kamden running in an excellent individual effort from the half way line after just 5 minutes. However, some resilient defending by the home side frustrated and kept the Blues at bay for the remainder of the first half. The stand out performer of the first half was Blues number 10 James Whittingham continually testing the home defence with his elusive running and passing style. Winger Joseph Williams continued to work hard and was unlucky not to score after being caught by the RGC defenders.

The second half saw Blues Coaches making a complete front row change to try and turn the Blues first half dominance into points. The rewards soon came when scrum half Rory Harries scored a well deserved try and winger Benoit Kamden went over for his 2nd try, shortly followed by an excellent try from center Matthew Edwards. Whittingham converted Edwards try. Again the RGC defence held out until outstanding Blues Number 8 and Captain Shane Young scored 2 tries in quick succession to put the game beyond doubt and give the Blues a comfortable 36 - 0 win.
Replacement fly half Tyler Williams converted both of Youngs tries.
After the match Forwards Coach Jamie Ringer said "Bringing the players on such a long trip was always going to test this squad but the boys responded well. After a few changes and some choice words at halftime, we came away with the bonus point victory we targeted before the game"
