Our game against Glasgow last weekend was very disappointing with regards to the performance but obviously we were pleased to get the win. I think before the game we would have settled for that score line and settled for a bonus point but the game itself was sloppy and there were far too many handling errors. Our defence wasn't as good as it should have been either. We have set our standards high and displays like that aren't acceptable. However, it's nice that we can be disappointed in our performance despite scoring five tries and it shows how far we have come in the last 18 months.

Despite the overall performance I think a few players such as Paul Tito, Jamie Roberts and Ben Blair stood out. It has been noted recently that our back three players in the opening matches have all played full back and wing. The way the game is played these days the back three positions are very much interchangeable and they work as a pendulum. All three have to know each others play and work as a unit. We're lucky to have strength in depth in a few positions, which gives me a few selection headaches but it's a nice problem to have.

Despite the Irish national team not doing as well as expected in the Rugby World Cup, all four provinces won last weekend and we can expect a tough challenge from Leinster. I think that despite missing some of their big name players they still have a lot of experience up front and brought back Shane Jennings and Leo Cullen from Leicester Tigers. They also have quality in the backs and we feel that along with the Ospreys they will certainly be our biggest test so far this season. We'll certainly need to be better than we were last week if we are to get anything from the match.

Many people have been talking about the Arms Park recently and everyone has special memories of the ground including the players and coaches. I spent most of my playing career but at the end of the day things must move on. I think it's a positive step to be moving to a new stadium and teaming up with Cardiff City. All the playing staff and management are excited by it. We've seen the improvements that the Ospreys have had with brand new facilities, and there's no reason why we can't get the same kind of benefits.
