There was a great atmosphere and I felt the supporters really got behind the team. It was satisfying to get the win and prevent Gloucester from getting anything and we would certainly have settled for being top of our Heineken Cup group on 10 points a couple of weeks ago. However our feet are certainly on the ground, as we haven't won anything yet. All we have done is get a good start to the competition.

We've got a big game today against Leicester and next weekend against Bath in the EDF Energy Cup and our preparation has to be right for these games. We don't want to step down in performances but sometimes you have to win ugly and that's what happened up in Sale. We didn't play well at all but came away with the win which was important not only for our EDF group but also to get momentum going into the Calvisano and Gloucester match.

There should be no complacency playing Leicester as we know how difficult it will be. We've beaten many English sides over recent seasons in the EDF Energy and also the Heineken Cup. I think we've notched up wins against, Bristol, Saracens, London Irish, Harlequins, Bath and now Gloucetser. The only one we haven't got one over on is Leicester, we've played them two or three times in both tournaments, so it would be a great achievement to get the win today.

I think obviously if we get the win it would put us in a really strong position going into the final game against Bath at home. I'm sure Leicester will feel the same as they have a home match against Sale. It's not as straightforward as winner takes all but the winner will certainly be in a strong position and in pole position.

Their new coach, Heyneke Meyer, has brought in some new ideas but I don't think they will ever go away from the dominance they try to get up front and the physicality they bring to the game. They play a far more expansive game than they did last year, and have few weaknesses.

They are always a difficult team to beat. To get a result against Leicester, whether that be at home our away, you have to play at your best. We know it will be a very tough game.

Lastly, I would like to congratulate the seven Blues players that are in the Welsh squad for the Autumn internationals, and especially Leigh Halfpenny and Andy Powell who are in the squad for the first time. They have all worked hard for us this season and deserve their chance.
