Welcome to the Cardiff Blues Academy- where education and rugby come first.

The aim of our academy is to adopt a daily lifestyle that enables each player to become a professional rugby player for Cardiff Blues.

Cardiff Blues understand that a successful academy is vital to the long-term achievements of the region. The benefits of our academy programme have already been seen over the last few seasons, with a number of players now regulars in both our first team and the international squad.

The Cardiff Blues Academy is split into two groups, Junior Academy and Senior Academy. The Junior Academy is for those players under 18 and the Senior Academy for those 18 years plus.

Within the Academy every player will have an experience that enhances them as a person and a player, whilst maximising their rugby potential.

To maximise potential we understand that each player is unique and therefore requires a unique service. The Academy looks to enhance each players personal, education and vocational development opportunities.

The Academy requires players to demonstrate a potential to become a professional Blues player, with a mental toughness and desire to be the very best person and player they can be.
